The programme combines in-person workshops, peer learning groups, and 1:1 coaching for sustained development and learning over six months.

All programmes are led by Gavin Lockwood and are run with a maximum of 12 participants.

PREPARATION

Before the first workshop Gavin meets with you and your manager to discuss:

  • Your leadership development goals and what you want to get out of the programme.

  • The opportunities you’ll have to apply learning back at work.

You will also have the option to undertake a form of 360 survey called Best-self feedback.

WORKSHOPS

Over the six months, you will attend four in-person workshops over a total of eight days.

By the end of the first workshop, you’ll have developed a personal Leadership Plan that will guide the application of what you learn throughout the programme.

On the final workshop you’ll focus on next steps and how you’ll sustain a focus on your development.

APPLICATION BETWEEN WORKSHOPS

Between the workshops you’ll participate in a set of discussions focused on application and reflection on what you are learning:

  • Three individual coaching sessions.

  • Three facilitated peer learning sessions.

  • Regular buddy catch-ups with another member of the cohort.

PEER CONNECTION

Over the six months you’ll be with a group of 12 people from a range of other organisations, who are at similar points in their career and facing similar challenges. The programme is designed so that you’ll learn from each other via sharing approaches to common challenges and helping each other’s thinking. On the first workshop there is a focus on connecting you as a group, including a workshop dinner. On the final workshop you’ll decide how you would like to stay connected as a group.
